TELEVISION STARS INTO PORN Kim Kardashian’s life has a “chicken or egg” relationship with nudity. After becoming a reality TV star on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the starlet posed naked for many outlets, including Playboy, a few less risque publications, and, on occasion, her own Instagram feed. Her reality TV career, however, would not have taken off in the first place if her Ray J sex tape hadn’t been released. In fact, some speculate that the sex tape was only made to help Kardashian land a reality TV contract. So, is she a reality star who made porn, or a porn star who created a reality TV show? We’ll leave that up to you.

Regardless of how Kim Kardashian rose to fame, she has unquestionably become one of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful women. Her clothing line, SKIMS, is hugely successful, with figure-flattering bodysuits, underwear, and loungewear starting at $14. The days of slamming Kim K are over, as the media mogul has evolved into a total boss babe, even being dubbed “the first lady of fame” by Time. Kim K exudes sexiness and confidence, and her SKIMS clothing reflects this.

Scheana Marie

Scheana Marie, the Vanderpump Rules star, has a history of stirring things up in the romance department, having spoken out about details of her relationship with John Mayer, having an affair with Eddie Cibrian while he was married to Real Housewives star Brandi Glanville (and also allegedly having an affair with LeAnn Rimes), marrying and then divorcing her high school sweetheart Mike Shay, having an on-again off-again relationship with Amber Valetta’s broth But, a year before joining Vanderpump Rules, Scheana appeared as the villain in two episodes of the soft-core, simulated porn Femme Fatales in 2012.

Heidi Montag

The unholy alliance of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt was possibly the worst thing to come out of MTV’s The Hills. “Speidi” went on to appear in several commercials, as well as reality shows such as I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity Wife Swap, and Marriage Boot Camp. In addition, in 2010, the couple filmed a sex tape, which they actively shopped and sold to the highest bidder. You’ve got to love the hustle!
If you want to delve even deeper into the Heidi Montag/Spencer Pratt drama, their book How To Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture is available on Amazon for $17.99.

Farrah Abraham

MTV has a long and glorious history of bad show ideas, but 16 and Pregnant is possibly the worst. Farrah Abraham teamed up with porn star James Deen in 2013 for a pair of porn videos titled Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom and Farrah 2: Backdoor and More after starring in both 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. Abraham was most recently seen on Vh1’s Couples Therapy, where she made history by becoming the first person to appear on the show without a partner. My Teenage Dream Ended, a book about her life since Teen Mom, was published in 2012.

Aubrey O’Day

Aubrey O’Day rose to fame on the third season of Making The Band, but she really made a name for herself when she was featured on the cover of Playboy in March 2009. She’s since released a solo album and been a member of several bands, including Dumblonde and Danity Kane, but she returned to reality TV in 2016 as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother.

Adrianne Curry

When Adrianne Curry won America’s Next Top Model for the first time, everyone predicted big things for her, and they weren’t entirely wrong. While Curry’s modelling career never matched that of ANTM host Tyra Banks, she did have a respectable modelling career when she wasn’t appearing on reality shows like The Surreal Life. Curry posed for Playboy in 2006, and his image appeared on the cover of the February issue of that year. She returned to the cover in January 2008, and she appeared in two more issues that year.

Tonya Cooley

Tonya Cooley is a well-traveled veteran of MTV’s reality programming, having appeared on the 11th season of The Real World in 2002 as well as six iterations of Real World/Road Rules Challenge. In between, she appeared in the Cinemax softcore series The Erotic Traveler and Girls Gone Wild. She even posed for the “Cyber Girl of the Week” feature in Playboy. Cooley, ironically, refused to participate in any nudity-related challenges while filming the Real World/Road Rules: Battle of the Sexes series in 2003 and 2004.

Darva Conger

Darva Conger made a name for herself on reality television as the sole winner of Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire. The show was panned for being exploitative and cynical, and it lasted only one season. Conger, who served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Southern Illinois University with honors, married titular multimillionaire Rick Rockwell on live television in the series finale, but the so-called millionaire wasn’t a millionaire after all. Conger returned from their honeymoon claiming that the marriage had never been consummated, and the couple soon filed for annulment. Conger valued on her celebrity before the summer of 2000 ended by appearing in Playboy.
