Dolly Parton is “an inspiration to all women,” according to Kelly Clarkson.

Dolly, 76, and the singer Kelly, 40, have collaborated on a new duet version of the song “9 to 5,” which Dolly first released as a hit in 1980. Kelly has showered the music legend with admiration.

She said, “Dolly is incredibly amazing, an inspiration to all women, and one of the loveliest people you will ever meet. I am so humbled that she invited me to reimagine this famous song, ‘9 to 5’, with her.”

Working with the talented country singer was a pleasure for Kelly.

I hope you like what we did, but even if you don’t, remember I got to perform a duet with the magical girl,” she jokingly said in a statement.

Kelly can make any song “come alive,” as Dolly acknowledged, and she was a pleasure to work with.

Nobody sings like Kelly Clarkson, who brings any song to life. She made the statement: “I love Kelly Clarkson’s voice on ‘9 to 5’ and I am so glad I got to sing with her on it.”

Kelly recently disclosed that she intends to discuss her breakup with Brandon Blackstock on her upcoming album.

The singer of “Behind These Hazel Eyes” acknowledged that some of her upcoming songs will address the dissolution of her marriage.

Kelly, whose children with her ex-husband are River, 8, and Remington, 6, said: “Remember that time we wrote, like, 25 songs in a week? My producer and I were laughing yesterday because I was like, “Remember that time we wrote, like, 25 songs in a week?”

“Many of those are included in the album. Most of them were actually written by me nearly two years ago. I then told my label that I couldn’t discuss this until I had dealt with it, and it has just taken some time.
