Is BTS going to as we all know that 2021 was one of the most successful years for Blackpink, as they released more songs than normal, collaborated with some of the world’s most well-known musicians, as well as charted in ways that no other South Korean girl group had ever done before. Already among the most popular all-female bands in the world, Blackpink made a name for themselves last year as one of the hottest non-solo acts and maybe the most popular girl group on the planet.

Is BTS going to Through ‘Hallyu,’ or the Korean wave, Korean pop is influencing cultures globally, and at the center of it all is K-pop. Fans are hooked to the groovy music, catchy lyrics, perfect choreography, and extremely fashionable band members who underline the genre. When we talk about Korean music, we are most familiar with K-pop bands like BTS, BLACKPINK, EXO, and Red Velvet. K-Pop is perhaps the only music genre which has most effectively transcended the language barrier to conquer the West.

While Blackpink had a fantastic year in 2020, 2021 has become almost deafeningly quiet. The band is still riding high on the popularity of their debut full-length The Album and the several songs that sprang from the title, and two of the members have gone solo. Now that one artist has leaked information about their next release, fans of Blackpink may not have to wait long for new music from the popular K-pop group.

While on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards, Ozuna said in an interview that despite the fact that he recently released a new song, he already has his next single planned, and it would be a collaborative effort with musicians from many genres and corners of the world.

During the ceremony, the Latin superstar, who performed his current single “La Funka,” disclosed that his next album will allegedly feature Megan Thee Stallion and Blackpink. He didn’t say when it’ll be released, what it’ll be named, or even what it’ll sound like (which is impossible to fathom given those three names), but just mentioning the South Korean foursome is enough to have fans eager for what’s to come.

If Ozuna’s claim proves to be accurate, it will be the second time Stallion has collaborated with a significant figure in South Korean music.
Just a few weeks ago, the rapper collaborated with BTS to remake their global blockbuster “Butter,” reinvigorating the track and rekindling interest in it. The track stormed back to No. 1 upon that Hot 100, giving her a ninth stay in the penthouse in the process.

Blackpink’s last song to be released was “Lovesick Girls,” which served as the third official promotional cut from The Album. The track was pushed as a single on the day the full-length came out, and it became a momentary success in a number of countries. Before that tune appeared, the four-member vocal troupe shared previous singles “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez, both of which broke into the top 40 on the Hot 100. They also worked with Lady Gaga on her promo title “Sour Candy,” which debuted inside the top 40 on the same important ranking as well, kicking off their 2020 right.

BTS’ had fans grooving to their second English song #Butter this year. From a nine-week run at the Billboard Hot 100 charts to a Grammy nomination, Butter won hearts and acclaim across the music industry, and volumes of conversation from fans on Twitter.

“Lovesick Girls,” the third official promotional cut from The Album, was Blackpink’s most recent single to also be released. On the day the full-length was released, the music was promoted as a single, and that became a minor hit in a few places.
