Rohit Sharma Roasts David Warner Badly When He Asked To Consider Going Through Quarantine All the IPL franchises are now gearing up for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2021. The tournament is scheduled to start from April 9 this year and all the big names have descended on India to join their team. A total of 6 venues have been finalized to hold the IPL this year as there will be no home and away venues for any team. The 6 locations that have been finalized are Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi. The opening games of the tournament will take place behind closed doors as COVID-19 cases continue to take toll in India. Mumbai Indians will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the first game of the tournament at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
We all know that Rohit Sharma has a great sense of humour. The Mumbai Indians skipper has often been seen making funny comments on his teammates’ social media posts. Recently, Rohit trolled Australian batsman David Warner by making a witty comment on Instagram, which can only be expected from the Indian opener.
On Saturday, Warner posted a video of himself on his official Instagram account. Through the video, he informed his fans that he has arrived in India for the upcoming 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. He will be back in action as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He also revealed that due to the COVID-19 protocol, he will have to spend seven days in quarantine after his arrival. On Thursday, Warner posted a picture on social media with his wife Candice Warner saying “the last wine together” and added that it is time to pack the bags and head to India.
During the video, Warner revealed that he had reached Chennai on Friday afternoon. He told his fans that he needs ideas from them to get through this quarantine period. He uploaded a video on Instagram with the caption,
“I have arrived and ready to go, but one problem is I need some ideas to get through the next few days of quarantine!! Please give me some ideas please comment below. #boredinthehouse #India #cricket”
Warner can be heard saying in the video uploaded by him,
“I just woke up after a great sleep, arrived here in Chennai yesterday afternoon. Got some 6-7 days to get out of the quarantine. I need some ideas, please comment below I have some ideas weird stuff, silly stuff… Be it. Netflix shows, I want some”
However, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was quick to look on the funny side while commenting.
“Tiktok must disappear.”
Notably, Warner kept fans thoroughly entertained during the coronavirus lockdown by making videos on the short video platform TikTok. However, the Indian government took a major decision to ban 59 Chinese apps from India, one of which includes TikTok.
Warner made many such funny videos on Tiktok during the lockdown and continued it even after that. He had even spoken to his family. However, social media apps have been banned in India. Hence, Warner will not be able to enjoy making his TikTok videos once he is in the country. Now you can guess what Rohit Sharma was trying to say with that sarcastic comment.
